On July 10th, Dr. Denis Dontsov, Managing Director of SIOS Meßtechnik GmbH, was invited to give a Tech Talk at the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden. He presented the laser interferometric technology of SIOS to an interested audience from different faculties.
The lecture, entitled “Laser Interferometers for High Precision Measurements”, covered the technical principles of laser interferometry, measurement uncertainty and practical applications in various fields such as calibration, mechanical engineering, the optics, and semiconductor industry, medical technology and nano metrology.
The audience showed great interest in the presentation and asked numerous questions about the technology presented, SIOS' expertise, innovation management and the company's research activities.
Dr. Dontsov is particularly interested in getting students interested in laser interferometry technology and thus contributing to the promotion of young talent. “The curiosity and commitment of the students is inspiring. They are the future,” he emphasized after the event.
The Tech Talk at the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden provided an excellent opportunity for dialog between industry and academia and underlines SIOS' commitment to promoting young talent.
